What is Generally?
Generally, funded by New Media Advocacy Project, is designed to show that Appalachia food deserts have a wide range of faces, stories and food backgrounds. Deserts are considered to be an area that lack access to better food choices.
Generally features stories in multiple forms. An exhibit (October 2022 - Huntington, WV) to walk into a grocery store, an instagram (@generallydesert) to share artwork and stories, and a website to showcase Appalachians who trusted the Generally project to share their story with food.
