Xena Bunton
Creative Director

Xena Bunton is a journalist in the Huntington area with a passion to share important stories. Over the past six months, Xena has interviewed and documented the lives of Appalachians in food deserts and local food resources. While each person has provided a different and unique experience, Xena knows that the interviews have only ignited a small portion of topics in Appalachia. Generally was designed to begin the conversation of Appalachia food insecurity and the fear of not receiving help due to stereotypes.
Xena has lived in an Appalachian food desert since she was seven. After graduating from Marshall University, she became even more deserted as she started her career. Blended in the woods of Southern Ohio, Xena was destined to hear from her neighbors.
